PROPER CARE
The power booster does not require any periodic maintenance, but you
should periodically inspect it as follows:
- Park the vehicle on level ground with the engine OFF, the parking brake engaged, and the transmission in PARK (for automatic) or REVERSE (for manual). Raise the hood.
- Identify the power booster.
It is a black, circular container between the firewall and master cylinder reservoir. - Be sure the vacuum hose from the intake manifold to the power booster is firmly connected at both ends and is not cracked or leaking. If it is damaged, have it replaced.
